Additional Restrictions for Alarm Installers

Cover is restricted to work in or on buildings or that part of any building occupied solely as private dwelling, shops, offices, hotels, public houses, guest houses, schools, colleges, residential retirement or nursing homes (including the grounds thereof).

Excludes failure to perform.

Policy Excesses

The General Property Damage excess is £100.00

The first £500 of each and every claim for loss or damage to underground pipes, cables or services.

The first £500 of each and every claim for loss or damage to property caused by or arising from the use of welding or heat cutting equipment, blow lamps or blow torches, hot air guns or any other work involving the use or application of heat. In addition The use of this type of equipment is subject to certain safety conditions. See APPLICATION OF HEAT AND FIRE PRECAUTIONS.

The General Property Damage excess is doubled for the first period of insurance if the proposer has less than two years experience in the trade.
