Additional Restrictions for Builders

Excludes use of Welding or Flame Cutting Equipment

Your work AS SEPARATE CONTRACTS (ie not incidental to your building contracts) for:
(i) Painting and decorating, Roofing, Groundworks or Plumbing and Heating does not exceed 15% of your annual turnover
(ii) Timber Treatment, Damp Proofing or Civil Engineering does not exceed 5% of your annual turnover

If your work in these categories is higher than stated, we may still be able to quote but please contact us for further information

Policy Excesses

The General Property Damage excess is £100.00

The first £500 of each and every claim for loss or damage to underground pipes, cables or services.

The first £500 of each and every claim for loss or damage to property caused by or arising from the use of welding or heat cutting equipment, blow lamps or blow torches, hot air guns or any other work involving the use or application of heat. In addition The use of this type of equipment is subject to certain safety conditions. See APPLICATION OF HEAT AND FIRE PRECAUTIONS.

The General Property Damage excess is doubled for the first period of insurance if the proposer has less than two years experience in the trade.
